Today is the last day of the fundraiser for Emily's scholarship. It is incredible that together we have all raised over $32,000 in a month to support women's education in Emily's honor. Thank you to all who have shared and donated. Because of this high amount, an endowment scholarship has been set up in the Honors program at Western and will perpetually fund itself so that scholarships will be given out every year. This couldn't have happened without each and every one of you. Thank you. 

Hello everyone! There are seven days of fundraising left for the Emily Lang Memorial Scholarship, and we want to remind everyone that there is still time to donate if you haven't yet! We're ecstatic that we reached our goal to fund an endowment scholarship, and with the remaining fundraising time we're confident we can reach an even higher goal - in the next seven days, we'd love to aim to reach $30,000, which would allow for larger scholarships each year for recipients. This would require $2,640 more in fundraising, and we're confident this can happen. Please continue to share this page and spread the word, and thank you so much for your generosity.

We have met our goal of $25,000! In FIVE days! We are so incredibly thankful to all that have donated and shared this link so far. With this money we will be able to officially start the Emily Lang Memorial Scholarship! Though we have met the minimum startup cost of the scholarship, the Viking Funder will be open for 25 more days. The amount of the scholarship relies on interest, so the larger the startup donation, the more money that will go towards funding the education of bright women attending Western.

First off, a big thank you to everyone who has contributed and become a part of the creation of a scholarship for Emily! We are amazed by the support and generosity of those who loved her. We are already close to our goal of 25,000, the minimum needed for an endowment scholarship, so it is important we reach it! Because of the power of social media and word of mouth, this project has reached many people and so we also want to encourage small donations.
