Elliot Scott Memorial Scholarship

Thank you for supporting Elliot's legacy and memory.

We have reached goal!

June 23, 2020

Thank you so much for the extraordinary donations in memory of Elliot. We surpassed our goal of $25,000, raising over $28,000 to endow a scholarship that will support Western students for years to come! What an incredible gift it is to give back to students who share in Elliot’s dream of restoring our ecosystems and strengthening our food system through sustainable farming.

This would not have been possible without you, thank you again for supporting Elliot Scott’s Memorial Scholarship.

Elliot was a character and he was the best of them all. Starting from the first day of elementary school, I was fortunate enough to grow up alongside him. He had a passion for life like no other. At times, he was the jokester of the class. Others, the nerd, especially all four years of Chinese. He was an artist, athlete, and adventurer who was always striving to learn and grow. After over a decade of knowing him, I was able to see many different sides to him, but of them all, the character that stood above all others was his heart. He loved and cared for everyone single being on this planet no matter if he had met them 10 years or 10 seconds ago. Your light will continue to shine through all the lives you have touched in your time on earth.” - Friend

Remembering Elliot

May 21, 2020

We want to thank you all for your generous support of the Elliot Scott Memorial Scholarship and take the time to share some of the beautiful words that have been written by friends and family.

“Elliot knew himself, he knew what made him happy, he knew what he lived for, and he was achieving so much of what he wanted in life. I am so thankful that I was able to grow up with him. I am inspired to do great things because he always did and he would have continued. I am pushed to be bold and express myself without fear because he always did. I am challenged to be positive when things do not go as planned because he taught me that it’s not worth sacrificing your energy for. He looked at the world in a way that I admired and that I try to emulate in my own life.” - Friend

“Elliot is a warrior, he has natural strength. I say this plainly and with certainty, I watched him fight for his family, friends, mates on the field, and most importantly himself. His aim is not bravery rather endurance not mass instead leverage not self-gain but challenge. I once coached Elliot and watched him compete through the years, turns out I learned more from him than I could ever given." - Family Friend
