The classics program at WWU has reached the tenth year of its pioneering course of study in active Latin, featuring Latin as the primary language of instruction, engagement, and assessment in all courses at all levels. To celebrate this anniversary, the classics faculty are raising funds to put together a two-day conference: one day of speakers and a second of workshops for students, alumni, and colleagues. As part of this event, the classics program would also like to award two scholarships to students of the classics. This event will enhance the recognition of Western's active Latin program at a national level and the scholarships will support students who wish to pursue their interest in the classics.
