Women in Geology Club is a club within the WWU Geology Department which aims to empower women in the Geology program through educational outreach, field trips, workshops, networking opportunities, and personal growth/bonding events. Our club is open to all genders; it's important for the women in our program to feel that they have allies in their journey to becoming a geologist. Please consider donating to our club so that we can better support the women in our program!
A donation of $5 can help our club purchase marketing supplies for outreach happening prior to Fall at the Western Info Fair, and many other outreach events throughout the year such as GEMS and Scouting for Science. We hope to purchase marketing supplies in the forms of stickers, business cards, and a small amount of fliers. Your support is the structural geology to our petrology!
A donation of $10 allows our club to purchase supplies necessary for educational outreach events such as art supplies, printing costs, science experiment materials, and small participation prizes. You're the foundation of all geology; teaching the youth of our community about the importance of understanding earth processes!
A donation of $20 provides our club the opportunity to go on a local geology field trip! Expenses are put toward gas and light snacks. It's hard to be a good geologist-in-training without your nose on a rock outcrop!
Donations of $50 allow our club to purchase valuable outreach items such as a custom tablecloth, gifts for speakers at events, or transportation and attendance costs associated with conferences which provide our members valuable networking opportunities!
