Help Send WWU DECA to Nationals
The Western Washington University Collegiate DECA chapter is an organization of students who are passionate about career readiness and networking. We have a huge opportunity to travel to compete at the 2020 International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Our purpose is to help prepare students for the beginning of their careers. We host weekly meetings that include professional readiness, collaborating with the community, and case studies.
At the conference, we will have the chance to compete in our choice of the event consisting of a pre-prepared research paper or on the spot case study. There will be business professionals from around the world giving us feedback on our presentations. In addition, there will be many different colleges from around the world, whom we compete against. These two factors helo build our ongoing networks for our futures.
WWU DECA is a student-led organization that works with other students in order to increase our professional skills. We have a committed, diverse, and strong leadership team who runs the weekly meetings and engages with other members.
Participants are able to attend ICDC due to our previous state competition, in which the participants were required to place in the top five in their competition, which we hosted this year at WWU. Over the course of 3 months, we had been continuously planning, organizing, and hosting this large event for approximately 7 other colleges in the Pacific Northwest.
Now that we have successfully planned and competed in this competition we are able to take the next step and compete in nationals. With your help and consideration, your donation will help students with registration, lodging, airfare, and much more. Our goal is to raise enough funds to allow all members who have qualified at the state competition to attend nationals.
Thank you for your consideration,
