The Student Economic Association is a WWU student led club focusing on disseminating and discussing economic issues so that we may proliferate facts in a post-truth world. It is also our prerogative that we educate ourselves and those around us on economic issues so that together we can better understand the implications of macroeconomic & microeconomic policies so that we can better navigate economic upheavals.
PNREC (The Pacific Northwest Regional Economic Conference) is an annual meeting of economic scholars and professionals in the area and from afar. Last year we heard students speakers from CWU, EWU, and our very own Danny Edgel and Jennifer Sargeant. Non-student speakers included university professors, Harvard and Oxford economists, and federal employees from the Department of Natural Resources. We at the Student Economics Association believe that furthering your education shouldn't come with a price tag.
Thats why we're asking for your help to send as many students as possible to this once a year economics conference where our region's brightest minds gather.
Please visit the PNREC website for more details!
All donations will benefit not only the students going to the conference, but will supplement classrooms throughout WWU with more engaged and educated minds. These chosen students will inevitably provide knowledge learned from this conference to hundreds if not thousands of other students throughout their time at Western.
