We are continuously reminded that our alumni are in careers where they make a difference for the environment. That is why we do what we do and hope you will consider supporting the work and the deserving students with the ability and passion to do this pursue the field of Environmental Toxicology!
The knowledge, critical thinking, and technical writing skills that students learned here are part of why they are highly valued as employees, but the research experiences they can get as a toxicology or chemistry student are crucial to helping them stand out in graduate school and their careers. You can help make that valuable experience an option for all students, regardless of background.
Gifts from this project will be used to support students doing independent research and presenting their work. It will pay for lab supplies, stipends, and travel to conferences. Your past help allowed us to be nimble and respond to the needs of our students even in difficult times.
We deeply appreciate your support of the continued legacy of student excellence in the toxicology and chemistry emphasis at WWU. Please consider continuing that valuable support this year! Thank you for all you do.
Thank You,
Ruth Sofield
P.S.

Can be used to pay the registration for a student to attend the PNW-SETAC conference and jumpstart their experience with professional conferences.
Can be used to help with the airfare for a student attending the national SETAC conference.
Can be used to support a partial stipend for an undergraduate student so they hopefully don't have to split their time in the lab with a second job.
