“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only one page"

Tim Fitzpatrick, Concert Choir Director

WWU's Concert Choir has the unique opportunity to tour Northern Europe, performing in the spectacularly beautiful and artistically rich countries of Finland and Estonia.

The choir will start by flying from Seattle to Helsinki to sing in cities such as Helsinki and Tallinn, featuring picturesque medieval towns and breathtakingly beautiful countryside.

Our tour includes visits to Helsinki and Tampere (Finland), and Tallinn and Haapsalu (Estonia). In Tallinn, we will collaborate with the Estonian Girls' Choir to perform in the historic Mustpeade Saal (Black-brothers' Hall), once a meeting place of Medieval merchants. Later on, we will travel by bus through the Finnish countryside to Tampere's Tomio Kirkko (Dome Church) amid the country of ten thousand lakes.

In all, the WWU Concert Choir will perform five concerts at unique venues. In our free time, the choir will tour Old Town Tallinn and learn about the culture and history Finland and Estonia through visits to the Helsinki Museum of Natural History and the Estonian Outdoor Museum.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for these students and the cost of the trip is the main barrier keeping it from being an accessible opportunity to all. Your gift can make this trip happen for many students who may never otherwise have the opportunity to visit let alone perform in these countries ever again.

Please consider making your gift today to help offset the costs for these WWU students that are so eager to finally travel and sing!

All additional gifts over our goal will go towards reducing the trip cost for all the concert choir students, which is a strain for many of them.

Thank You!!
