WWU Women's Rugby is Headed to Regionals!!

A little about our Rugby Team: 

The WWU Women's Rugby Club was established in 1977 and has been growing steadily for the past 45 years. What was once a small, self-coached group is now a strong program of 40+ students who have found their place on the pitch and created an inclusive community while embracing all the amazing things this beloved sport has to offer.

In the 2022-2023 season, the Vikings placed 1st in the PMRC Division 1 League. This was only our 5th year in the league and we have improved immensely as the season went on, now becoming a force to be reckoned with. With hard fought battles each game, our players leave it all on the field. Through mental and physical perseverance our team has excitedly made it through to Regionals this year! We could not have gotten to this point without the support of our friends, families, fans, and amazing coaches! 

How your donations will help us:

With Regionals being held in Stanford, California our main goal of this fundraiser is to pay for our players' travel expenses. Traveling down the coast and playing over the weekend of April 8-9th will be more than 2 and a half days of driving and three days of housing our players for the event. We would love for all of our 40+ players to travel down for this amazing opportunity and experience to play at Regionals for the first time in 5 years! As a club sport, most of our funding comes from the players themselves and the team's fundraising efforts. Support from family, friends, and our community is what allows us to keep this team running.
