WWU Mock Trial Fundraiser
About WWU Mock Trial
What We Do
The WWU Mock Trial Team competes in intercollegiate mock trial tournaments hosted by the American Mock Trial Association (AMTA). Students prepare both sides of a legal case, serving as attorneys and witnesses in simulated courtroom trials. Through competition, members develop public speaking, critical thinking, teamwork, and a practical understanding of the legal system.
Our History
Founded in fall 2024, the WWU Mock Trial Team was created to bring formal mock trial competition to Western Washington University. In our first year as a student-run organization, we quickly built a competitive team, traveled to the regional tournament, and represented WWU alongside long-established programs. What began as an idea has grown into a committed and motivated team with a strong foundation.
Our Goals
As a new program, our goal is to continue growing sustainably while increasing our competitiveness at regional and national tournaments. Funding supports essential equipment, travel, and tournament fees, allowing more students to participate and helping the team establish a lasting presence at WWU. With your support, we aim to build a program that will serve future students for years to come.
