Greetings Friends and Supporters of WWU’s Music Department,
I hope that this letter finds you safe, healthy and with your loved ones at home! I firstly want to say, thank you for your extreme generosity in support of WWU’s Concert Choir 2020 tour to Iceland, Finland and Estonia.
Unfortunately due to the global health crisis, we are unable to move forward with plans to go on tour this year. It is with a heavy heart that I make this decision and inform the singers, families and donors.
We are very sorry for this situation but hope that our talented students will have another opportunity in the not too distant future to go on tour. To this end, our plan is to hold your donations to support WWU Concert Choir students on a future tour. If you are comfortable with this plan, no action is required and we thank you so much for your support. As our closest supporters we wanted to keep you in the loop about our Summer 2020 Tour during these uncertain times. We are so grateful for your partnership in helping us reach our goals and are still hopeful that our travel plans will continue! We could not be pursuing this opportunity without your support and wanted to reiterate our heartfelt thanks to you for your crucial investment in our operations. We are less than $1,000 away from unleashing the second half of the match! As soon as we reach $15,000 we will have another $5,000 unlocked to reach our goal of $20,000. We have NOW RAISED OVER $14,000 toward our $20,000 goal! Thanks again to the many kind and generous donors for making this possible. In particular, our gratitude goes out to a special donor who agrees to match our efforts, dollar for dollar, up to $10,000.
